This is a historical log of where Chestnut has been
This is Buxworth Basin at the end of the Peak Forest Canal, high in the peak district near Whalley Bridge.
This was a trip up the Macclesfield canal.

First trip in Chestnut.
Here we are at Aqueduct Marina where we found Chestnut. We had already arranged permanent moorings at Aston Marina and had a week to move the boat before we would be charged!
We hastily arranged a trip, with some close friends to see us off, and started out.

The Birthday trip.
A few months after we bought the boat it was my wife’s birthday, so we planned a trip down to Stratford-upon-Avon. The original plan was to travel down the Avon, up the Severn and back to Aston via Stourport. But when we arrived in Stratford, the Avon was in flood and we were not allowed onto it. So after a few days in Bancroft Basin we turned around and headed back the way we came.
