The actual LOG

plastic sheet over front doors still OK
engine starts (very smokey) but no hours on meter?
Electric meter showing £9.21
Frost-stat not working: fires up OK with flame on Webasto control. But once thermostat shuts the unit down the Webasto controller drops to OFF (as if I’d pressed the flame button again). So if the thermostat drops below the set temp a second time there is no power from the controller.

Sart 19th Jan 2013
brief visit to boat 4 inch of snow everywhere
all the mushroom vents are dripping and all the window frames have condensation. Need some small plastic buckets to go over mushrooms on roof.
£8.77 on electric meter
webasto controller showing OFF again
min temp showing as minus 3 inside boat and max/min thermo is reading 2 degrees higher than the froststat, but no visible leaks from water still in hot tank.
turned on webasto again – it started straight up
thermostat reading 0.1 degrees
voltmeter on webasto timer input line shows 11v
waited for stat to get to 5 deg and turn off
webasto goes off, feed to timer drops to 0v and timer powers down!!!! The manual flame button still works
have disconnected this input
wait for boat to cool down. At 4.6 deg system cut back in again then off at 4.9, then on again at 4.6
so cutting wire makes system work.
Need to confirm this with Webasto

Mon 28th Jan
Elec meter £8.66
Webasto has turned off again. must have a timer on it. Will bypass it, put a diode in the 12v feed to look like the timer.
